Today we just hung around camp for a while then went to the cafe on the pier for some local barramundi for lunch. After lunch we collected some firewood and got some food for our bonfire tonight. We then bought some steaks and salad for the BBQ and chilled out at the camp for a bit before gathering up all our cooking stuff and drove onto the marsh where we chose a spot to watch the sunset and light the fire. The crabbing crew arrived just before sunset so we all sat and watched the sun go down over the marsh, stunning. We then lit our bonfire and cooked a BBQ dinner followed by 16 crabs cooked straight on the fire. The crabs cooked this way tasted even better than last night, delicious! Crazy Kev joined us for a few beers and a feed, and after it was well dark Trevor and Lou brought out a surprise they had brought back from Thailand, ten big paper lanterns that we lit and released at the same time, it was so beautiful. Kev bailed as soon as we had let the lanterns go, and wouldn't you know it about half an hour later the cops came over and asked if we had been letting of flares. Obviously we denied everything, and say around the fire for a while chatting. We came back to camp around 9:30 and sat around talking again for a while before crashing.
