After a couple of nights sleeping rough, as my father used to say, in Winnemucca, Nevada and Lee Vining, California I got to Yosemite National Park. My experience in Lee Vining on the eastern side of the park was much more remote than my actual experience in the park. It was Halloween night and the view was of the very curious Mono Lake which Mark Twain said was a "solemn, silent, sail-less sea". He was certainly right this time of year. There were quite a few people in the parking lot with me. I didn't realize that they were going to rush into the park the next day to scoop up the few available spots, even this time of year. The drive through the park to the west entrance took almost two hours. I'll post the 360 photos when I get back home. It is beyond my description and certainly beyond my photographic ability to explain how impressive this mountain range is.
