Hi everyone.
Got up at 6am again but I am going to bed at night before the sun goes down.
Did some shopping with Dee in preparation for our trip to Wales today. Trevor, Paul and John have gone to pick up the camper. They arrived back at 10.30am.
Great camper with loads of room. The comforts of home on wheels.
Started our journey at midday with Trevor and John navigating using Sally sat nav. Within an hour we were heading in the wrong direction and having to do a 'u' turn as Sally had been silenced because of the beeping for speeding. Good start to the trip.
We were fine till got to Shrewsbury where we again ended up heading north instead of west towards Welshpool. Sally was sending us on a longer route and kept advising A495 but with the aid of a street directory we wanted the A458. So many 'A's. No wonder she is confused.
Finally Sally agreed to Dee's directions and we got to Barcdy Caravan and Camping Park at Talsarnau at 7pm, 2 hrs later than scheduled. We did however have two breaks for food and toilet.
The weather throughout the trip changed significantly from sunshine and some cloud in England to pouring rain and low cloud in Wales. The trip to Wales was along the motorway till we got to Welshpool. However once in Wales the roads were much narrower and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. Everything is so green and lush. There were many old houses and fields fenced with hedges. Trying to get photos was difficult as the most of the roads were lined with trees. I didn't realise I could take photos on my iPad till we were 45mins from our destination. Now that I know I will take more photos whilst we are in the camper.
Meanwhile Paul and Pat missed out on our trip today. But they will be joining us next week to share in our adventures when we go to Italy. We are looking forward to it.
It is now 8.45pm. Well past my bedtime. Still daylight outside.
Will write again tomorrow as Dee and Trevor have organised a very exciting day for us.
