OVERVIEW
We lived in CT for a short time for Greg's job. It was a big improvement over Chicago. We lived here for about 1 year. In this time we visited restaurants in New York City and all around CT. Here are my top picks!
Keep in mind, NYC has a million+ restaurants. It is impossible to try them all! We read all the reviews, made some educated guesses and after 1 year of trial and error, here is what I'd recommend:
ITALIAN FOOD IN CT: www.prespact.com
This place has amazing Italian style food. Lobster Rav's = highly recommended. Also, the Penne with Vodka = yummy.
Take your pick on the appetizers. They were all good!
NEW YORK CITY: www.gordonramsay.com/gratthelondon
We had some of the best food I've ever had at The London in NYC. The London is owned by Gordon Ramsay. Everything is A La Carte.
Its pricey (2 people = just shy of $300) but so, so worth it. Everything is made to absolute perfection. You haven't tasted food until you've eaten here. Gordon Ramsay, you are my hero!!!
FINAL THOUGHTS
CT and NYC are amazing. So much history. Such beautiful mountains and trees. Its a higher class, smarter class of people with higher standards in pretty much everything. It costs way more to live here. At the end of the day, I am very sure that some of the smartest people on earth live in NYC. And, they likely dine at The London!
