We are moving out of our gorgeous apartment on Monday 5th - this makes us all very sad :( Never mind, we will be in Brisbane for 5 more nights and then we are off to Childers, Bundaberg to begin our 3 month stint of fruit picking. We start work on the 12th of July, we will be staying at a caravan site, but not in a caravan in a shed/hut thingy...cannot wait..!
It's meant to be a good/clean place and where lots of other backpackers stay so I'll make the most of it.
I will be booking a flight to Perth for the 6th of October yaay and then Louise will join me on the 10th of October for a 3 week holiday - so excited!! I will be staying in Perth living with my Aunt/Uncle/Cousins up until Christmas and on the 28th of Dec myself and Jill are off to Thailand! We will be catching two flights first perth-Kl and then KL-Bangkok - at 280 quid you can't go wrong (I hope!). Once in Bangkok we will either fly/boat/bus it down to Koh Phangan where we will be staying at the Palita Lodge - we even got a suite - total luxury for a week :D!! In Koh Phangan we are meeting up with Vikki, John etc from back home to party our behinds off for near enough two weeks. We will be there for the Full Moon Party/New Year - can't wait to see them all :)
I am hoping when I'm in Perth I manage to get some work and hopefully I can save up a bit more and travel around a bit of Asia, my plan is to visit Thailand, Laos, Cambodia & Vietnam with lots of stop offs! I have my plan - which I am sure will change.
If I do not have enough money though I will probably come home in Februaryish time to work and save up and then leave again. I am nowhere near ready to come home for good and stop the travelling (sorry loved ones).
Myself, Emma and Gemma went to Morten Bay Island for the day, it was beautiful and we had so much fun - it was a bit chilly due to the wind but was still a really nice sunny day and no clouds :) We set off early at 7am on our trip and was home 12 hours later. We had a cute tour guide called Jesse who drove us around (thank god I didnt have to drive again!), we went on walks and took in the scenery which was lovely, went snorkelling around "old shipwrecks" - i was terrified I was going to slash my face/arms/legs but luckily no accidents - I must be getting better, we also went sandboarding this was so much fun but my god the hill to climb back up was awful, so I only did this one (unlike emma who was too scarde grrr!!)...we then had lunch (subway!) and whilst eating we noticed...WHALES I loved this it was awesome to see them and they were so close (see pics on facebook!) We then went for a walk to the lighthouse and we saw Turtles in the sea, I kept missing them to take pics when they came upto surface, but the memories are there. I loved this trip, much more relaxed and enjoyable than Fraser Island - which by the way the two islands are identical in my opinion and I would recomend both :)
Last weekend we went on a spontaneious trip to Surfers Paradise which cancelled out our "quiet weekend"...I ended up with a two day hangover, horrific pictures and a cold. Awesome weekend :)
It's Gemmas birthday next tuesday so this sat we are celebrating out on the town with a Pirate theme...maybe I'll meet my Johnny Depp...
Lots of love, me xxx
