We woke up to an official looking letter stuck on our windshield, it was revealed that it was illegal to camp on a car park overnight, we should have been fined but in this case, an exception were made for us which I think was only made because there were no signs around and they had no grounds to fine us.
We then spent breakfast making up theories why the gentleman at YHA assured us that it was allowed to use the car park for overnight camping which was a fun way to kill the time. After agreeing that gentleman were peeved that we didn't stay at his YHA thus denying him some money he had sent us to the car park in the hope we get fined, we moved on to our tasks for the day.
The first mission was to find an internet cafe for some emails, researching and shamefully enough bit of Facebook browsing. We found a small Internet cafe run by a World of Warcraft playing geek who had three computer screens on at same time. We then visited Information Centre to book sky-diving because we were gutted to missed out sky-diving in Franz Josef, we found a better deal called Four-Play. The activities involved will be revealed tomorrow!
Eventually, we finally was free to explore the town, it was absolutely full of teenagers, there were so many youths lounging around that it was getting to a stage where I wondered whether Justin Bieber were in the town for a concert! There is also old vintage cars everywhere oddily which is a contrast to see the cars parked next to the skating parks filled with youths.
Napier is like Blackpool, New Zealanders flock to Napier for local holidays but Napier is far less tacky than Blackpool though arguably it was also more boring as a consequence. The sands were black like Tenerife though I didn't think there were any volcanoes nearby. The day then turned to night and we departed for Lake Taupo which wasn't too far. We parked by the famous Lake Taupo overnight where we found a geothermal natural pool by the lake. The water was very warm and there were even steam wafting outwards which were amazing to look at.
