After a long sleep which we all needed after the aftermath of the airport disaster, we woke up to a beautiful turquoise coloured lake. It was start of countless stunning sceneries we was lucky to see in NZ. None of us used the shower after the weegate of yesterday. This meant the showerless streak would extend to three days which is probably the longest I went without a shower in my life! Eventually we set off
We passed some mountains decorated with snows on the top which is a stunning sight to behold and there is a scramble between all of us to get a snap of it which includes fighting over each other and inadvertently blocking other each's snaps
We noticed as we made our way towards Dunedin that NZ drivers had no patience and would frequently tailgate poor Charlene before overtaking. Rather predictably we also saw loads of sheep grazing. We eventually arrived in Dunedin which is the second largest city in the south island.
We went to a campsite that we found in the brochure. While looking for a place to park, we noticed a leak coming out of the motorhome, Ashley went to sniff it and it dawned on us that the leakage came from the waste pipe so Ashley may have sniffed someone's urine!
It were later discovered that Ashley only smelt the grey water which consist of waste water from taps etc! We parked the motorhome and all of us rushed to charge up our phones after being connected to electric outlet! We went to explore the town and to familiarise ourselves with the town for tomorrow. Despite being the second largest, it was rather quiet. They did have a beautifully designed train station but the early impression of NZ being a quiet country still sticks.
