More and more I see of Wellington, more I fell in love with it. Today, we went deep in the heart of the city to explore its main attractions which is Civic Square and Parliament House. Wellington is a mini version of London, they share similar attractions such as Civic Square which is likened to Trafalgar Square and Parliament House though the Wellington version is much more modernised.
We then went to a souvenir warehouse to cash in the rare opportunity to buy some gifts for our families. It was when we all assembled on the campervan and set up our sat-nav, to our horror, it was a 4 hours' drive not 2 hours that we have previously thought.
During the journey, the condition of the campervan deteriorated even further, we had to use one of the table legs as a wedge to stop a drawer spilling out because the lock doesn't work anymore!
We eventually arrived in Napier and were advised by a gentleman working in YHA to camp in a car park overnight which normally was illegal but we don't find any signs advising against this so we parked there overnight. We watched a DVD and drank wine that we bought in Brisbane.
