hiiiii everyone! im now officially speaking to yous as an open water qualified diver :D, eventually!! finished the course yesterday, was supposed to be a 3day course but took us 5 because of the croc. know one will believe this at home so i actually bought the local paper to show you!! we were all geared up ready to go for our first dive in the sea ever, then someone spotted a log.. anyways the log randomly sank.. so this called for a closer look, good job we didnt get too close coz there was a huge dirty 3.5m saltwater croc right where we were meant to be diving...!!!! just 10m from shore. the dive company had rang the park rangers earlier and he was last sighted a coupla miles away at westpoint, but suddenly turned up at geoffery bay so we had to abandon the dive. we cautiously turned up the next day after hearing they were trying to catch it, anyways they certainly hadnt so we went north on the island and did two dives at radical bay, we then came to the beach to change our air tanks, fully geared up again we had to abandon the next dive because the croc was too close. not exagerating diving was terrifying, it got to the point where we had to have a dive instructor as a lookout because the lifeguards dont work when the beaches are closed/red flag. visability on the dives was appauling, 1-2m on one day and 1m yesterday so i couldnt even see my own flippers never mind a croc! but hey not many people can tell that story! haha.

moved house today because bungalow bay was fully booked and we are getting the bus on sun so now we are stayin in a cooool place right on geoffry bay(we arent meant to go out at night because of croc) we are in a tent..with laminate flooring...a proper double bed...and electricity, its proper mint! ded cheap aswell.

this islands mental, we watched kane toad racing on thurs, people were betting stupid money, haha. jonny won cocnut bowling last night so weve got a $40 bar tab to use tonight :D
