we left nelson early in the morning. too early!! and visited 'cape foulwind' - thats its actual name! too see a seal colony, that was gud and there were pups too. me and jonny powerwalked to the bus for no particular reason but were pleased we did coz a big dirty storm came from nowhere! the seals were half an hours walk away so people got properly drenched. not exaggerating this rain was like horizontal and soo heavy, then it started hailstoneing haha. unlucky.

we then went to the Punakaiki Pancake Rocks, had a walk around there then ate overpriced pancakes in the cafe, like you do.

after a long day traveling we arrived in greymouth to the welcoming arms of macdonalds. the hostel was called noah's ark and was really good, all the rooms were animal themed.

we could of stayed anywhere but jonny read it had a golden retriever so we had to go there lol, i had no say in the matter. we ended up in the 'cat' room and when we went in there was a real kitten sleeping on the sofa, how cutes that! we had our own tv and it was dirt cheap so wish we had longer there. we also met an indian couple who were really nice at this hostel.
