5/2/06 We woke up at 5.30am to leave for Wellington at 7am as we had to be on time to catch the ferry from Picton on the South Island to Wellington on the North Island. On the way we stopped at a place called Kaikora and we saw a large group of sea lions sunbathing on the rocks, they looked so peaceful. We arrived at Picton and transferred our luggage to the ferry. The ferry crossing was about 3hrs long so we got to chill and get some sleep. We arrived in Wellington and jumped on2 a new coach and had a quick tour round the city. We checked into our hotel about 5.30pm and as Binita was still not well Nikki, our tour manager, decided to get our room changed so we could get some proper rest, we ended up on the 7th floor. We chilled for a bit and then headed into the town for some food. We found this nice little italian called Le Casa Pasta, we were lucky to even find that open as the next day was a bank holiday. 6/2/06 Today was a chilling day and I woke up about 9.45am. Binita was still asleep so I stayed in bed till she got up. Once she got up we headed out for food and ended up eating at Nandos as most things were shut. We only went out to get some dinner and then stayed in watching tv, there was not much to do in Wellington only go to museums, and we really didn't fee like it.
