7/2/06 We were heading to a place called Taupo today so we left at 7.30am. On the way we sopped at a place called Taihape which boasts the largest corregated iron gum boot (wellie) and believe me it was big. We arrived in Taupo on a beautiful day at about 1pm as some people were doing some optionals. As we weren't we headed to get some food and we found a cheap bar that did fairly decent food. Nikki had told us to meet back at 4.5pm or we could walk to our hotel which was only 35mins away. I think she must have been drunk when she did it cos it took us about an hour. When we finally arrived we were so hot andtired but as we didn't have our clothes we couldn't get changed so we had to wait. At 7pm we headed out to look for food but as the town was so far away there was not much nearby apart from hotels so we ended up back in our hotel. the food was actually good and reasonably priced.
