Trip of a Lifetime
30/1/06
Today we had an early start as it was our longest day of driving, we were heading towards Milford Sound. On the wy we stopped at Te Anau which has the largest lake in New Zealand. The scenery changed so dramatically as we were now in the Fiordland National Park and on the west coast of the South Island, this is where it would start becoming rainy, but luckily it didn't. everyone was saying it was a good day, surprisingly. On the way we stopped at the Chasm where we took a walk to see an amzing wterfall, however, by the ned of this trip we would have seen loads. Once we arrived a Milford Sound we boarded our boat and headed for our bunks, it was just like a navy ship, as in the bunks were tiny. We then headed back up onto the deck and were given soup and bread before some people went kayaking and swimming in the water. After we headed our into the Tasman Sea and had dinner. It was so different being on a boat to sleep. We decided to go to sleep early as there were only 5 showers between about 60 people, so it was going to be an early start.
