On the way from Canakkale we stopped at Troy - Shane and I decided not to go in since we had heard it was pretty rubbish and we were glad of the rest. We were really looking forward to visitng Ephesus though, and it was well worth the visit. The buildings and roads were welll preserved and gave a good idea of what life was like there. We spent all morning at the ruins, then went into the town of Selcuk to see the museum, Basilica of st John the Evangelist (where he is buried) and mosques, then walked about 7km back to our campsite by the beach.

Other than that we've had 3 nights here so we're relaxing on the beach and taking it easy. Its still very sunny here but not very warm, especially when the breeze blows. We are hoping it will get hotter as we get further south.
