It took just over an hour on a ferry to arrive on Ko Lanta island. First we missed our taxi to where we were staying so we had to deal with a very angry Thai man as he sorted us another way there ( it was their fault, not ours of course).

We stayed at Moonwalk bungalows - when we first arrived we walked down this dirty ally with little shacks. Our first reaction was bleddy'el we've been conned here. Then we seen these massive beautiful bungalows (thank f**k). They really were lovely inside & out.

We hired a moped and biked the whole island seeing different sights like view points, the old town and a national park where we seen wild monkeys and an old one in a cage who was unable to hunt for themselves
