We woke up early to get to Hanoi airport to catch our flight to Bangkok. We arrived at 10am and went straight over to the train station to see how much a sleeper train to Chiang Mai was. 15 pound each, we bought a bed for the night and the 13 hour train ride would be easier than getting a bus. This island is just beautiful. The accommodation we had was incredible, spending Christmas in a bungalow above the trees (cheers Gran!) Despite the torrential rain the first 2 days we've had a fantastic time. We hired a moped and seen the whole island in one day stopping off at different points, the views were amazing.
