Oh I think it is going to be one of those long days again! Was due to see the mountains etc today but didn't't get in until 6am. Had to get up and leave my room at 9am!! Arghh. There was a new student coming. My host mum did let me go back to sleep in her bed though. But I couldn't't get back to sleep, so here I am awake and have to stay awake until 10pm tonight, then I get the overnight bus to Mendoza. We went to a Casa Fiesta (house party) last night....

When it rains in Cordoba, it rains. And oh has it. Rain, Rain and more Rain! Last night it took the other student in my house and I ages to get a taxi from our house to the bar. By the time we got in the taxi we were soaked. Their is no drainage systems here either, so all the rain has no where to go, this causes great big rivers down the streets! I was thinking to myself, "shall I take a taxi or boat?". Had trouble finding the bar too, the taxi driver...

Hola, Been having a good week, even though my spanish is still totally crap. I think I am more confused now than before I came. Oh well, I tried and all I can do is keep practising and hope that I just meet English speaking people. My family have been really sweet. Had dinner with the family last night. Met the other people who live there. She has a daughter of 26 and there is another American Student who is great at spanish. I just sat there and kept quiet. It stormed and rained last night. Am hoping the weather will pick up again. But it was nice to not sweat all night in bed. I was going to do my homework but ended up going to sleep. (great start) Must have been playing on my mind as I woke up about 6.3...

Monday 7th March First day at school was cool. Though getting up at 7.15am was hard. It was so hot yesterday - 40'. Today it has cooled down loads. Linzito, my mama, made me breakfast and even walked me to school. It is only 10 minutes down the road. Have 2 english girls, a dutch girl and an american guy in my class. Class went well but I am crap. I am understanding it but just can't speak it. But lets face it, I find it hard enough speaking...
