Today we travelled to Cusco and it's from here we will be leaving for the inca trail! We returned to our 'South east Asia' ways and head straight for a starbucks! Lovely Skype chat with mum and dad - 11 sleeps until we arrive home and I really can't wait!

Traditional breakfast of bread and hard boiled eggs before taking the sheep for a walk! Ang loved it....Pigs and piglets seen before looking around the 'nursery school' which unfortunately was closed. Augusta then took us to the beautiful lake titicaca and gave us our first yoga lesson. We took a cyclo to the port and boarded the boat to explore the floating islands which were amazing, houses made from reeds and pet flamingoes. Then on to Taquile Island and finally arriving at luguina to meet our home stay family. We were welcomed by a ceremony of traditional dance and invited to don some Peruvian dresses and join in! After a game of football with the locals we returned to our family's home to help with the preparations for tea, played dominoes...

Bus to Puno and as the pictures show we even found some snow! Cold on arrival so not much exploring done, just a trip to the local market to buy some thermals and treats for our home stay family.

Today we visited the canyon and had the pleasure of seeing lots of condors that flew over, and they were huge! Short walk taking in the beautiful views and a lovely few hours spent at the hot pools. Another lucky escape from me however Ang wasn't as lucky as she 'enjoyed?' Her massage from - in her words- the Duracell bunny!
