Vegas Latin All-Stars

We had to get up early today as we wanted to get some discount tickets to see the Lion King before they sold out. The discount we got however didn't really warrant the 45mins we had to que for them,but at least we had some tickets for the next day. By this time we were extremely behind on our blogging due to unreliable internet connections so we spent the rest of the morning catching up with that at a nearby Starbucks. At around 3pm we headed over to the Mandalay Bay, a horrible gold casino by day and beautiful gold striped building by night, to register our ticket (this means choose your seats which for some unknown reason can only be done at the casino) This took a ridiculously long time as the car park is unfindable and we ended up having to park next door before navigating the maze which all casinos here are to find the box office. It took so long in fact that by the time we had got back to the hotel and changed we were about 2 hours late for our trip to the fright dome. Contained within the Circus Circus Casino is an indoor theme park which is pretty cool in itself. But as it's close to Halloween, they had a special event on where you can go in the dark, all the lights are turned off and replaced with lasers and strobes. The park also contained plenty of actor who's job it is to scare the people in the park(This is the easiest job ever because American teenage girls scream at EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!) as well as several special haunted houses with actors in them, there is also an indoor roller-coaster which manages to be really fun despite the small space they have to build it in, a log flume and several other classic fairground rides. It was pretty cool and we both had a good time but the length of the queues meant you didn't really get value for money. We were kicked out at midnight on the nose and this meant there was still time to head to the gold coast for the last couple of hours dancing, with another live band of course!!!! We left when the music stopped at 4am although the band only played until 3 and headed back to the hostel for the night.
