Im on the mend. I would say I'm running at a rocky 75%. I had my first full day back today and it seemed to take a looong time! As i continue to get better I imagine it will be much easier to maintain concentration and enthusiasm!
I must admit the funniest task of my week was working out how to provide a stool sample. i mean the real practicalities of it. i was handed the tiniest pot and threw the guy a look to suggest 'Am I supposed to aim my explosive diahorrea toward that tiny pot?! I'll take my hand off'. Anyway, to avoid the details I cunningly obtained the sample via alternative methods in which I employed more of a safe salvage technique as opposed to a dangerous game of shart and catch.
My great friend Mahesh is leaving for an unknown period of time tomorrow. He is visiting his father who is ill in India. Mahesh and myself have a real good friendship and it is real sad to see him go. In fact both Dr Theo and Madan also leave next week so the medical ward dream team of the last 3 weeks completely disappears in the near future ( I take up my surgical placement this coming sunday). Sad times, I won't forget the carnage of the medical ward! A great, messy learning environment.
I have uploaded some pictures of the stuff we have been saying. Some of them make me laugh, they are just the real deal. Take a look. Hope all is well.

Rick Do you know the difference between education and experience? Education is when you read the fine print; experience is what you get when you don't. ~Pete Seeger
Oli Where did you get that picture of me from Andrew?!
Ken and Louise Hi Andrew - we've just got back from Canada and now catching up with your blog. Congrats on getting giardia, that part of your culturalisation. Next is to catch flies and put them INTO your tea. From the photo it looks like you may have lost some weight, so take good care of yourself.
