Had my first full day in hospital today guys! It starts at 7:45 with handover and then its off to the medical ward for ward round. Once this is done its time for a refreshing mug of sweet sweet chiya and a sammmmooosssaaa! Beauty!
Then its time for the madness that is outpatients! Anything and everything walks through the door. We saw tropical diseases such as typhoid and malaria. But more suprisingly I saw a lot of 'western' disease like COPD and more shocking chronic liver disease from all the home made alcohol thats being consumed round these parts. Its called 'roxy'.
I must have also looked at 50 x-rays today, 49 abnormal and 1 normal. To quote Dr Theo, if its in the upper lobe on chest X-ray and your in Tansen the top three differentials are TB, TB and TB.
