Oooh it's the big day…..TODAY WE ARE OFF TO AUSTRALIA MATE!!!! Lol. Oh god were we excited!! We even treated ourselves to a hair cut! Lol. Our flight wasn't untill 10.15pm so we had the whole day to chill and get everything ready that we didn't the day before - like we decided to put some washing on last night and guess what it wasn't dry still so had to deal with that lol!!! Caught a cab to the airport and sat excited waiting for our flight!!Wow!! We in Australia mate!! Alrite Sheila, you wanna beef pie mate!! Hahah they were all coming out of us haha! Just couldn't hold back! Lol. So our first hostel, Serpent Hostel, very cool, proper backpacker place - this is what we been waiting for! Oh yes! It was full to the brim - travellers everywhere, felt like we fit in straight away! There was a bar (yes with cider) a swimming pool, volleyball net with some sand, proper dorms, kitchen, laundry, internet, happy hour twice a day and not forgetting a free meal each night!! Wicked stuff! Today was the start of another adventure!! All we did though was hang out n check out all the trips and tours that we could do, and make some plans for our Oz Experience bus! Whoop whoop! It was a day for washing! Had to re-wash that stuff that didn't dry in time from Singapore so that we didn't smell at the start of Australia mate! Then off we went to see Cairns, they haven't got a beach so they have an esplande instead which is basically a massive swimming pool with sand n grass surrounding it where you can do stuff that you would do at the beach. We sat here for most of the afternoon eyeing everyone up and pinching ourselves cause we still couldn't believe we were here! Sad eh! Lol! Oh well! We grabbed some diner in the night market in town and then headed back tot eh hostel bar for happy hour! What a cool day! This was basically what we did for most of the week, got some good sunage in to top up on the tan and walked round the esplande, shops and port. We also went in and arranged our oz bus pick up and decided on hiring a car to take ourselves up to Port Douglas, Daintree, Mossman Gorge and Cape Tribulation. Saturday and Sunday in the bar at the hostel we starting chatting to some young local lads who were out getting trollyed and we hammered them at pool and stuff! We also met with a crazy Italian girl who was just off another planet or something but she was a giggle!
