Sentosa, Sentosa, Sentosa!!! Wow! A childrens dream and an adults nightmare - unless you are big kids like me and Lisa!! This part of Singapore is basically where you would take the kids during half term for a day - you have got everything there to keep them occupied! There was a Tiger Sky Tower, Cable cars, Underwater World, Pink Dolphin Show, and not forgetting the Luge Ride! The luge ride we had to go on twice! Haha! It was basically a ko-cart that you zoom down a hill-track on by pulling the handlebars towards you to go fast and push it away to slow ya down! Right let me just let ya no that it wasn't just me n Lisa there, we met back up with Rhona n the girls because the girls were on half term so we could spend more time with them. So we all headed off for Sentosa for the day, but Rhona was leaving us to head back home for a meeting at lunchtime so the girls stayed with us - wicked fun!!We accomplished all of the rides and even managed to get a second run on the luge ride like I said before - the only thing was that Rhona and Lulu were waiting for us to get back in time for dinner - but we were late! Lol we were all too busy having fun on that luge ride - it was soo addictive!!On the Wednesday us and the girls including Rhona went to the cinema to see Mama Mia - real girls day out! We left them to it after the lunchtime flm though and headed off to explore some more. We went to the Raffles Hotel (very famous; Raffles landed in Singapore n then it went from there or something like that!), saw City Harbour Front and then made it to see the Singapore Flyer at night. This is basically the same as the London eye but I would say much bigger and probably better and more importantly - cheaper! really cool though because we got up there just as it was turning to dark so we saw all the building light up and could see for miles. At the bottom of this was the F1 track that they had the night race at the previous week - they were just starting to take it apart again but we managed to get a birds eye look at it!After such a busy day we treated ourselves to a well earned lie in! but once we were up we were made to sit and watch High School Musical with the girls! Lisa loved this can you believe it! After the film we headed for some more tourist sites. We headed to the river where Raffles landing point was, this was marked with a big statue of him, then we took a bum boat along Boat Quay and Clarke Quay, Riverside where we saw a glimpse of the Asia Civilisation Museum! Was pretty cool. The bum boat also took us up close to the Merlion (half lion half mermaid) that is for reason that I cant remember is famous in Singapore! Headed back to ___________for a well earned nights sleep!!Friday was a special day for us, this was when we decided to cook for the Allins to say thank you for allowing us to stay for the time that we were in Singapore for, so of course, the Thai cooking course skills came out and we sure did it!! We rocked once more. We dished up spring rolls, chicken and coconut milk soup, thai green chicken curry, chicken with cashew nuts and plenty of rice!! It was awesome! Lulu pointed us in the right direction to the market in the morning and off we went with our shopping list and lots of cash to get all the ingredients that we needed. We also got Rhona some flowers and had a picture of us all printed out from when we were on the luge ride in Sentosa and had it framed for them too!! (we are good eh!!). All I can say is that the meal went down a treat and all of us were full to the brim!! Pretty damn big smiles across our faces too!The weekend brought us even closer to flying to Oz - damn we were excited!! We spent the Saturday at the Jurong Bird Park and the evening at the Night Safari because they were doing a Halloween special! This was real funny, they basically normally have a ______ going around the park to show you the animals, well they still had this one but put on another one that was a Halloween special! It was all dolled up and the host on the front had her costume on (think ours was a witch) and was talking very scarily and making it to be a scary ride for us all!! It was actually - we kept jumping because they had staff hidden amongst the trees and would on occasions jump out at you and scary you half to death!! Long day but well worth it!The Sunday was our last day in Singapore and it was for Rhona too because she was heading to Sydney the night before we left for Cairns! So we went to a club that they go to to chill out and have a spa and some nice food and good company at a place called the Dutch Club. It was bit like a resort but it was for members only and you could do all sorts there! We all just messed around playing in the pool before lunch and then it chucked it down with rain so we left early and headed back to sort our bags out ready for Oz!!
