Flying to Kuala Lumpar this week so thought we would see some more sand and sea before we left so had a day at the beach, more bat and ball and then Lisa got her mullet re-braided! Bless her she really struggling without her straightners now lol! Krabi airport! Now I have to tell you about this one! So funny. Its probably no bigger than a smoking shelter at a pub! You walk through the check in gate and into a "departure lounge" and your nearly sat on the run way!! Ha it was so funny! The smallest airport I have ever seen - I reckon even Blackpool and Kidlington have bigger airports!!Anyways, on the way to Kuala Lumpar!! Whenever we are travelling to a new destination it always seems to be chucking it down with rain! We do get excited though cause it means we have a possibility of wearing our pac-a-macs again!! Lol next hostel Equator Hostel. Very good - a proper chill out place, got everything you could think of, real homelike too. Very impressed with this one!We only had 2 nights here so we had to plan our time efficiently! So the first night we wondered around Time Square Shopping complex, a massive huge shopping mall! It was that big it even had an indoor theme park in it! Up on floor 10 was a food court and then there must have been easily over 1000 shops! This was right opposite our hostel to so we didn't have far to walk! We had to be up and about early the next morning so that we could cram in all the sightseeing! We had to see the Twin Towers, the KL Tower and get to both which were quite far apart! Both were real cool places, the Twin Towers are what they are, used for petroleum and something else that I cant remember what! We went up in this, it also has a posh shopping mall in it, a sky bridge on the 45th floor. You could walk across this to the other side of the tower (which we did) and check out the scenery! It was bloody high like! And then the KL tower is a huge tower that has a viewing gallery and a revolving restaurant at the top. The top being 50 odd floors high! We went up and to the viewing deck and the sight you saw was unbelievable. Miles you could see, we watched a storm make its was in then we sharply made our way down!! Made it back to the hostel for a film then some karaoke jokey! Packed everything up ready because we were heading for the bus stop bright and early to take us to Singapore in the morning. What good timing - we get into Singapore (yes its raining again!) in time for Rhona to pick us up. Rhona and the Allins are good family friends who said we could stay at they home for the time that we are in Singapore which was an absolute god send! So yep she met us and took us back to their house and we waited for the girls to come home from school. This night we spent chilling and catching up with the Allins and taking in all the information that they were giving us about what to see and do in Singapore.Eve and Meg invited us to come to their school for a tradition that they have called UN day, to me and you this means United Nations day. Because the school is made up of I think Eve told me 45 different nationalities, they spend one day each year to celebrate each nation. The children get to dress up in their national dress or something representing their country and they put on a parade for the families and friends throughout the day. After the parade which was well impressive, in each classroom they have each countries food tasting sessions. So there was Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, English, Australian, Irish, Jamaican, all sorts. We made our way around each room with the girls trying lots of different food. The kids were all really proud of it all, very excited to tell you as much as you could about it all. A very enjoyable day. Plus the sun was bloody hot too which was a bonus. So not wanting to out-do our stay at the Allins we found ourselves a hostel and went to stay there for a few days. Empire Hostel it was called in a part of Singapore called Little India. Cool place, was brand new had only opened few days before - it was that new that the manager walked in with a microwave in his arms!! Once we dumped our stuff we headed to explore Little India and that we did! We walked for miles! Found a real popular Café which is called Mustafas Café but it wasn't a normal café - it was a full blown shopping centre in one shop! They sold everything - from household furniture to toys clothes and god just everything! It was a tiring day so we went and had dinner at the Hawkers centre with all the locals - cool huh!Because every part of Singapore is so easily accessible by the MTR, we went off on more adventures to see China Town - this time hoping it was much better than the one in Thailand!!This saw us end our 8th week - cant believe how much we had seen and done already!! What an achievement!!
