Phuket by moped - of course we had to follow the trend! weren't as successful though cause we managed to get 2 flat tyres and see a few bits n bobs but not as good as the others! We saw Promthep Cape which was a view point - could see for miles! Very nice cause it was all of the coast. Kathu waterfall which was the best so far - very nice, we had to jump off the moped to walk down a very impossible walk way, swinging through the trees to help us get down but worth it. Then we went back along the coastline and saw Kata and karon beaches. Headed out to our next destination - the one we have been waiting for…Phi Phi island. This is where the tsunami was so was interested to see how it was now that it has been 3 years. We got there and was helped to choose a new hostel, we picked US Guesthouse. They are gunna come and pick you up from here and help with your bags so just wait here and they wont be long. So here he comes, along the dirt track amongst the cafes, bars and restaurants with all I can describe it as is a big version of BnQ trolleys! So we chuck in our bags, and we walk to our hostel. There is no form of transport on the island apart from push bikes. And to be fair you can walk from one side of the island to the next in 12 minutes! Wicked! Being there made you feel very humble - cheesy I no but it really did. There was plenty of building work still going on and in most bars etc they had pictures and notices of the re-work that has had to happen because of it. It was near enough wiped out and to think how much it has been worked on is really good. And really quite scary. We booked on a long tail boat trip to go out snorkelling again, and this one we got to go and see lots. We went and saw PhiPhi Lay (its split into 2 parts PhiPhi Lay and PhiPhi Don, Don being habited and Lay not), Maya beach - this is where the film The Beach was filmed with Leonardo Di Caprio, Monkey beach, Viking Cave, plus 2 stops for snorkelling. Being a long tail boat was cool, very low into the water and being steered by a man with a long stick with an engine on the back! The first stop to snorkel was so choppy and the current so strong that I couldn't handle it and had to get back into the boat after maybe 10minutes, it was just too strong for me. But the next stop was wicked, the driver of the boat gave me some pineapple to hold in the water and no joke, there was more fish around me than water!! They were everywhere! All different kinds, colours and size, some of them were pretty big. This night I also got my tattoo, had it done by bamboo swell which was mint! It didn't hurt at all n took maybe hour and 10minutes.After 2 days one of which we spent playing bat and ball on the beach we headed off to Krabi. This is where we were to spend Lisa's birthday and the next few days before we go to Kuala Lumpar. Just because it was Lisa's birthday we picked a nice hostel to spend it at - Dream Gardens it was called - still real cheap but the bonus was that it had a Spa at the bottom of it! Result! We had a walk around when we first got there, very random is what Krabi is! Not much going on, not many people around and the weather had dropped a bit.So we planned to have a full day for the bday celebrations, we had eyed up an Irish pub to sink a few ciders and then a spa for some massage therapy! But it never happened - Lisa unfortunately was sick from some food and spent the whole day being sick and in bed! So I played some cards, done some cross words until she felt a bit stronger and rushed her to the Irish bar to help with the illness! And it worked of course - I knew strongbow had powers!!
