Cykle i Bangkok??
Yes China Town i Asien ;) .

The translator ;) The trip was a little lonely. There weren’t many people to talk to, so it would have been nice with a travel buddy. But it wasn’t so bad, it meant that I had time for myself, which I hadn’t really had in the time up to me leaving. The airport in Dubai was quite impressive, so maybe the next trip will include Dubai (I’m sure that the town is even more impressive than the airport). The flight went fine, until we were flying over India, and the plane hit turbulence. Have never experienced anything like it, but managed to sleep a little anyway. Then I arrived in Bangkok after a number of hours in trains and planes, without too much sleep. I will say though that I was completely satisfied with Emirates, even though we didn’t take off on time, but especially with their food! A large city but no problem! The arrival in Bangkok went well, and a lovely woman met me in the airport and found the chauffeur who would be driving me to the hostel. I checked in and went up to the room, which was completely empty. So I stood there wondering what on earth I should do now? I had no idea of what to do next. A Dutch girl came into the room – she had also just arrived and was going in to town with some others, and asked if I wanted to join them. So after just 15 mins of being there, I was on the way through Bangkoks streets with 3 others. We bumped into some other backpackers and wandered round. I ate my first meal in Thailand with a Canadien, a Frenchman, a Dutchman and an Israeli. The food was really good, but is really spicy, even for me. Afterwards the Israeli left to go north, so the rest of us continued through town and ended up going past all the places that offered “ping-pong show” (strip), down a “gay- street” and experienced markets and everything else Bangkok has to offer, including a large, dark Leffe beer in an Irish pub. Bangkok offers fantastic food, but their traffic is a little crazy. (no seatbelts, and if there is the slightest inch of room to maneuver, then they go for it, or else they make room!) And I met some people from home on a little sidestreet. Cycle in Bangkok?? The next day we had decided to take a guided bicycle tour around Bangkok. The guide was really nice and we were in a group of many different nationalities. The trip around town was really exciting, especially because we went to places other tourists don’t really get to see. We were really close to the locals and saw how they lived, which was typically a one roomed flat where the kitchen, livingroom, and bathroom were in one. On the other hand they have really nice cars – a slight difference in priorities than I am used to ;) The cycle trip took us out into the jungle where we visited a public park and visited ”Hard Rock Cafe”. To get there we had to cross the river in a small wooden boat that had room for the bikes at the back!. Someone had planned that well! The trip back to Bangkoks’ streets was quite an experience! It started raining so hard, we could barely see where we were going. We navigated through the busy traffic and surprisingly all got home safely. In the evening I stayed at the hostel whilst the others went out partying until 4am. I was really tired – needed sleep badly and was checking out the next morning. But that’s the beauty of travelling alone; you can do as you please. Last night at the hostel... This didn’t stop me staying a little longer though. The next day I went with the dutchgirl to the Canadians hotel where I could stay. He had an extra bed in the room that wasn’t being used, so a free overnight stay for me!! Woohoo! We spent the day at Wat Pho and China Town. Yes, China Town in Asia It was another rainy day. It’s Ironic isn’t it, you go from Denmark to Thailand and you get rain and cold (from the air conditioning). In the evening we went to a shopping centre that was really impressive. We had to go through security checks to get in, and there were massive, expensive shops, multiple cinema complexes not to mention bowling etc. It was so impressive I had to take some photos! We were back at the hotel quite early, where I read a little and got some shut-eye before I moved on to Amphawa. Looking forward to returning to Bangkok!
