Today I discovered a new passion...i love love love white water rafting. Here is a photo of the girls after our watery adventure.

Were originally booked (& paid for...grrrr) to do the grade III & IV trip in Rio Toro but on getting to the office in the morning we were told that there was no water!! Someone forgot to call the dam to tell them to turn the tap on!!

We were able to do the more gentle II & III rapids instead. This was a huge blessing in disguise as I was feeling rather dodgy after way too much costa rican wine. After a bumpy ride to Rio Balsa (after which i, classy lady that I am, promptly threw up), we were kitted out & then taught a million safety instructions that terrified me. Had no need to worry because as soon as I hit the water I had the most amazing time. Spent the whole day grinning! Even enjoyed a quick swim & float down stream in my life jacket.

Think have caught the rafting bug so gonna do the more challenging grade in a few days :).
