We we treated to some acrobatics from the usually shy sea otters & then a small pod of 6 bottle nose dolphins swam up to & beside the boat. They were absolutely beautiful. A deep dark grey. Felt magical!

Happy to be allowed to wander on Isla Damas. Sadly no penguins despite the write up in Lonely Planet & Rough Guide but lots of roosting cormorants. Emma & I happened upon the beach first & I left the first footprints that day on the virgin sand.

After the earthquake, these signs are everywhere. The city holds tsunami drills. These are no more complex than grabbing large amounts of wine & heading for to hills!
