We arrived in Bangkok about 1am, and luckily the place we had stayed in before had a spare room. Bangkok didn't seem as humid and hot as last time, but maybe that's because we are getting used to it. After catching up on some sleep we headed to the Grand Palace.
The Grand Palace is made up of 2 sections. The Temple of the Emerald Budda and then the Grand Palace itself. This is no longer used as the Monarch's main residence but is used for state functions. Pretty impressive architechture so as you can imagine Alex and I were enthralled! Definitely worth a visit but the 2 hour long audio commentary did get quite soothing! Walked back along the river and discovered it was still pretty humid in Bangkok!
Finally got round to planning Vietnam ready for our flight tomorrow morning and catch up with family on Skype. Now off to watch the rugby before a night in the airport to extend the budget!
Go England?!
