Got up early ready to set off on a very long trip. On reaching the station i waited and played my look out for foreigners game hoping i might have someone to talk to... I was the only one! When the train came I wasn't surprised to see it was exactly like an idiot abroad lots of noise 3 shelf beds sticking put the wall very high and a lot of people everywhere. I settled onto my top bunk trying not to look down and then set off. Unfortunately all the announcements were in mandarin so i just had to hope it wasn't anything important the journey actually went quicker than i expected after i finally got to sleep...the man next to me was snoring loudly i think they should all be put in a carriage together to battle it out for noisiest snorer! It made me realise how hard it must be for foreign people coming to England where there are no signs in another language and nearly everyone speaks English nothing else...really opens your eyes.
I found the hostel eventually after a few wrong turns its very cosy. Im in a 4 bed female dorm looks comfortable and has a bar. Made friends with some Australians and just chilled out. Shanghai is a lot more westernised than Shenzhen so hoping it will be less of a culture shock...we shall see tomorrow.
Inventory 100% but i really struggled today so the percentage will be thought over.
