What a fun day. I'll be quick coz I'm knackered. We started off our day with a cruise around Lake Lucerne. It is the second biggest lake in Switzerland (there are some big lakes here so it must be massive) and has been lived on by some famous people. Audrey Hepburn lived and was married overlooking the lake, Charlie Chaplin had a house here and the German composer Richard Wagner also had a house on the lake. We passed some houses worth 20 million euro plus and when I say houses I mean castles. We then drove the 45 minutes to the base of Mount Titlis. It took about 50 minutes to take the 3 cable cars to get to the top (3020m above sea level) but it was worth the wait. I haven't been to the snow in ages and Sally had never been so needless to say we had a ball. There actually wasn't much snow, it was mostly ice, and the glacier park was closed so we didn't get to toboggan or anything like that but we threw plenty of snowballs and sal built a mini snowman and generally mucked around. We had heaps of time in Lucerne this arvo after the snow and sal went out shopping with a group and I watched a couple of movies (yep, out and about exploring cities, but we did that last night). I noticed a fee places in the movies that I had seen on this trip so I had a bit of a squeal about that (yes I'm a girl). I also took the time to hold up a massive supermarket line and inconvenience a poor shopgirl who didn't speak english while trying to get dinner. I had bought to many items and had to pay in two currencies and I think she was new and it culminated after useless hand gestures her calling over a colleague who sorted it out in about 2 seconds flat. I must've had a red face the whole way back and I was severely embarrassed. Oh well good times. Off to Germany tomorrow for the second last night of this tour. Talk soon
