Today we travelled to Galveston Texas. The drive took around 4 hours and we got here just after 2 pm.

This morning we stopped at a small town place for breakfast called Lucille's Place. It was like you see in the movies, where the dine looks kinda dirty and you can smell cigarette smoke but the food is good. That is exactly what it was like. Dad said his stomach was a bit iffy afterwards but I was ok. Then we hit the road....hard. Almost straight to te hotel.

When we got here we were a little before check in time so the pre checked us and we headed ack out to have a look around. It is a beach resort, kind of modern abd really busy. It may just be weekend traffic, we will see tomorrow. There are 32 miles of beaches to choose from with skidoo hire and boat hire as well.

After getting our room at the Hilton, hunger struck us. Just across the road there is the famous Landry's Seafood restaurant. The food is excellent and I would recommend everyone to try it, although it is slightly pricy.

We then went for a walk down on the sand and had another look about as well as going to a surf shop to pick up a few things. There are many of these along the sea wall and are worth a look.

As it was getting dark, we decided to go back to the hotel and unpack for the last time. I went for an extra long swim in the hotel pool. And here I am now, sitting in the lobby because I have no wifi in the room.

Tomorrow we are going on the exclusive level 9 tour at the Johnson Space Centre in Houston. It is the best tour you can take. So watch this space to see how it goes. That's all for now, I will write again tomorrow.
