Well as you can imagine, the last though I had was that I would wake up to something like this ( picture above.) for a place that has not rained since march, that was a heavy, heavy downpour.
Our plans for the day obviously had to be altered, given the outdoor nature of the activities. The palm for this wet and rainy day was to have a quite one.
I still had to get a couple of things so we headed to a mall in Houston for a look around and to get some lunch. Afterwards we headed back to the hotel. The weather had cleared up a bit and the temperature had gone above 80. The only thing about rain down here is that it makes it extremely humid and it is a bit difficult to cope with.
Some restful time passed in the room then we went out in search of some Mexican dinner. We found a place on Seawall called Salsas. We both had a selection of Mexican dishes and it wa very good. Definitely a place worth checking out.
And now I'm back at the hotel just about to go to the pool for a swim. Hopefully , weather permitting, we will do the duck tour and get a good look about on the beach. Thats all folks, stay tuned for more Galveston fun.
