Travels
Long drive in pretty wet weather up to York today to see the National Railway Museum. Whilst I'm not necessarily a big train (jealously as they get more air than aircraft) fan the museum is another well setup facility that shows trains from the Stevenson Rocket to the first Japanese Bullet train and recent diesel locomotives. One of the good things about trains is that they are more robust than planes so you can wander about in them. It was great to see the staff working on the Flying Scotsman, the Hogwarts Express and Platform 9 3/4 ( something we didn't see whilst waiting at Kings Cross, even though we looked). Fantastic place for kids and to get out of the weather.
