There was a bit of sleeping in today and we didn't really get going until after lunch. Amanda, Jasper and Claudie bought a baby swing for James. While they did that, I went to a bike shop in Preston. It was excellent, I bought new MTB shoes and was very tempted to buy a new bike! Then we went to Paula and Matt's again this evening. Today was a rest day, aside from some laundry and a little packing up for tomorrow. The copies of "Sherlock" we borrowed from Matt came in very handy. The weather has turned a bit nasty again with high winds here at North Coburg this evening. I have taken the precaution of putting the awning down and bringing everything inside.

Today's adventure was a bike ride into the city. At the end of our street is Merri Creek which runs in a typically windy course into the Yarra river, just east of the city. Along this path runs a bike track. This we followed most of the way before turning off onto a more tricky section that followed an old tram track though Edinburgh garden and through some backstreets into Melbourne City. There were a few too many twists and dips in the road by the end of the day yesterday for C, we've seen enough limestone to keep us satisfied and it's wet and cold today, so we decided to get out on the highway and head to Geelong where we had lunch and then on to Melbourne. We found the Big4 and settled in. Still raining all day. No point going to the snow until this weather improves.
