A and I up early to drive over to Kata-Tjuta (the Olgas) for the sunrise viewing. There is a platform built on a sand dune on the Eastern side which is therefore between Kata-Tjuta and Uluru. When we got there, the usual crowd of tourists was there but they were all at the far eastern end with their backs to Kata-Tjuta, looking at Uluru off in the distance! Drive to Uluru. It's pretty boring really. We came around a corner on the Lassiter hwy and saw a huge rock off in the distance to the south which we thought was it… for a second but it turned out to be Mt Connor. I went for a ride along the Todd River to the old telegraph station. There's a track the whole way. They I went out past the cultural centre and home, stopping all the way to take photos. A lot of the wildflowers are blooming at the moment and the Sturt desert pea is awesome. The Alice is flat and quite bike friendly with a lot of bike paths.
