Well, after a very comfortable ride on the Wrexham Shropshire train to Marylebone and a few navigational errors (this does not bode well for the rest of the trip!) we arrived at Paddington Station. Ruth went to find somewhere to dump the bike and luggage while I waited with the bike. Ruth eventually returned with instructions that there was a bike rack on platform 9 and baggage could be left at Left Luggage. What we found on platform 9 was a sort of bike scrap yard and left luggage was £8 per item per 24 hours (or part there of). So, we locked up the bike where we could and headed to the pub, draped in luggage to use our £32 far more constructively on Fullers London Pride, Burger & Chips and a risotto for the wife. The night train leaves in
1 hour 20ish minutes. Time for another pint...
Kirsty and Geof Have fun you two. We'll be keeping an eye on you from the comfort of our armchairs.....
