In a cafe on backpackers alley taking forever to get pictures so not sure we will have any on site. Went to grand palace this morning which was very impressve as palaces go much better than that shabby Buckingham. Everything seemed to be covered in gold or glittering jewels. It goes down as the busiest place we have been yet. People everywhere when the rain came down everyone went for cover except me and Keeley stayed out and just got wet it only lasted three minutes but were soaked to the bone.
Yellow is definatley the colour in Bangkok most Thai's are wearing yellow as it means you love the king. Still cannot find cider even down backpackers alley so Keeley staying tee-total. Someone tried to scam us on way to palace said it was closed and to come with him to some Wat we did not and of course palace was open. Crossing the road everytime is a mini adventure you take your life in your hands traffic lights seem to be optional to most drivers. Found cider and now Keeley two later, is in the process of having her hair put into plaits as you will soon see.
Met the group we will be travelling with for the next 12 days everyone seems to be getting on well. Went out drinking with group on Koa san road (backpackers alley) carried on drinking untill 3.00. For once I was the one who was encouraging everyone to return to the hotel instead of a club (it doesn't happen very often!). Some deffinate leaders in the group Aaron being one of them. He was always trying to get everyones attention with the shsh technique (friends in Leicester no it well). No photos as camera has decided not to work anymore.
