We are now in Vientiane the capital of Laos. Yesterday in Vang Vieng we went to tubing basically floating down river in an inner tubing stopping along the way for beer and jumping from bamboo towers. Had an early start, we set off to the jungle in a tuk tuk (local transport) it was a pretty bumpy ride and the two tuk tuk's liked to race each other, the boys was always the slowest. We are in Laos now crossed the border no problem very relaxed not a gun in sight. Our group has its own private boat (people on public boat looked envious) and floating down the Mekong is a pleasure. The views are spectacular cannot really convey on the photos. We stopped for the night in Pakbeng which is a small village only had electricity for four hours 6-10 pm.
