The next part of the intrepid trip included a jungle and homestay. We spent the afternoon cruising down the Kinabatang river where we saw lots of monkeys, lizards, hornbills and a crocodile. Spent nearly a week in KL but did not get too much done. I think the fact that our rooom had no windows did not help us to get up in the mornings. First day in Tanah Rata we decided to go on a big trek into the jungle to the highest point in the highlands. Had problems finding the first trail Keeley was very disturbed when I tried to go up a small muddy trail it was not the path.
