Hi it's Lucy again! So today was my first day of school! I was SO NERVOUS! I walked to school and went to the principal's office where I waited for my french teacher to come and take me to my class. When she came we walked upstairs where there were already kids milling about outside the classroom waiting for her to arrive. When they saw me there were a few whispers of "wait, is she new? is she part of our class now?" and thankfully a few hellos and smiles. My class was the beginners (in other words the foreigners) so there were kids from Korea, Spain, Japan, England, and best of all VIRGINIA (crazy right! she was from McLean, Virginia.) Class was a lot of fun, and thankfully I was definitely not the most inexperienced. We did work sheets, talked with partners, and drew on the smart boards and white boards. My class had a huge variety of age range too, the youngest kid being 9 and the eldest 16. I had made a few friends already when the bell rang announcing break time. The girls couldn't wait to show me around at break and introduce me to their friends. We went out and my first thought was EVERYONE IS SO STYLISH OMG. Once I got over that, I started to recognize kids that I'd seen in town and make new friends!
