After spending a few days going from a bed to a toilet, it was quite a nice change to go from a bed to a bus....
The bus journey took us up and in land to the small and pretty town of Dalat.
Again, the French influence is obvious and the fact that we were inland and slightly in the hills provided an almost European chill in the air.
Night time felt like Christmas, with locals crowded around little street fires fully dressed in coats, gloves and hats, drinking hot chocolate. They must be freezing. After all, it must have been at least 20c....
I wanted to fit in so i wore boardy shorts, vest.... And a wolly hat.
We considered Carol Singing for a moment, but decided against it.
We spent just a few days in Dalat as I was still recovering. We wondered around the markets and took a ride on the swans on the lake...
Katie dropped her sunglasses into the water. Between us, that is now pair number 4 lost or broken.... That's good going if you ask me.
The town was a relaxing get away from the crazy Nha Trang, but we were ready to move on quite quickly.
I felt a little better and I managed to keep some food down which was a highlight!
Our hostel was guarded by one if those horrific little "dogs" which yapped and snarled at anything that moved. Katie hated him. I thought he was just misunderstood....
None the less, he was a total p****
Anyways, Probably one word to describe Dalat would be....
'Nice.'
Next stop Ho Chi Mihn City!!!
Peace and bum wee
Nic and Katie xx
