We have finally fallen into resort central. It was inevitable really, given that our final flight is out of Cancun. We went to Tulum and got annoyed with the stupid tourists clambering all over the ruins having ignored the signs and climbed over the ropes meant to keep people off. Hello, we have been to see Chichen Itza today, an impressive set of Mayan ruins. We arrived at Piste, the nearest town, yesterday but we found that our hotel had satelite TV, and there was an Englnd match on, so we watched that instead. 4-0, we are now big fans of Steve Mclaren! We are spending the night in Campeche, as a way of breaking up the bus journey from Palenque to Merida. It is also a very pretty town, with many painted buildings lining narrow streets, and a broad avenue along the seafront.
