We have had a very hot and sticky day exploring the Mayan ruins in the jungle at Palenque. It was worth it, though. The ruins are well preserved, and the site is large but compact. We have been in San Cristobal for a couple of days now. We came here on the overnight bus from Oaxaca, which was OK but not particularly restful. We spent our first day here recovering.
