Here we are in a little hotel in Portree on the Isle of Skye for the next 2 nights. We left Oyster Inn this morning in dull weather unlike the beautiful day we had yesterday. We have travelled over contrasting countryside today, first to Oban, a most beautiful port town wrapped around a harbor & steeped in history. We then moved on to Port Appin which is opposite the Isle of Lismore. We then moved on to Fort William on Loch Linnhe. We travelled near the Lochs for most of our drive but all around we are surrounded by huge barren mountains. The cover photo shows Eilean Donan Castle which is located on the mainland just near the impressive Skye Bridge. Have been taking lots of great photos, great chatting to different people along our way. Can't believe all the cyclists on the road, found out an event on at present. Will be nice for us to have a slower day tomorrow around Portree, our little coastal town here on Skye.
