What a lovely day we've had in Portree. After a lazy start we went for a wander around town. About lunchtime we went for a cruise on a fishing boat out around the inlet checking out the stark scenery as well as the wildlife,spotting a couple of nesting eagles. Here we are in a little hotel in Portree on the Isle of Skye for the next 2 nights. We left Oyster Inn this morning in dull weather unlike the beautiful day we had yesterday. We have travelled over contrasting countryside today, first to Oban, a most beautiful port town wrapped around a harbor & steeped in history.
