Yesterday we did some exploring in & around Stirling, a place steeped in Scottish History. Wallace Monument in honor of William Wallace of Braveheart fame & Stirling Castle were great. Well it seems like ages since we left Portree 2 days ago but we've certainly checked out some remote parts of Scotland. What a lovely day we've had in Portree. After a lazy start we went for a wander around town. About lunchtime we went for a cruise on a fishing boat out around the inlet checking out the stark scenery as well as the wildlife,spotting a couple of nesting eagles. Here we are in a little hotel in Portree on the Isle of Skye for the next 2 nights. We left Oyster Inn this morning in dull weather unlike the beautiful day we had yesterday. Today we headed into Glasgow to check out the sights including the Gallery of Modern Art before we headed north to Dumbarton then Ballock (on Loch Lomond) where we took a boat cruise on the Loch which was great.
