Has been a slower couple of days since we arrived in Rome late on Thursday. On Friday we did an open top bus tour around to see some of Rome's famous sites. We've also enjoyed a couple of Italian style Taverna dinners & chatting to some other visitors/locals. It's great meeting new people & hearing some of their stories. Yesterday we transferred Hotels & had a slow afternoon swimming/ reading before joining our tour introduction late afternoon. We had the evening in town(Rome) with some of the group as well we did an Illumination Tour of Rome sights by night. Today we head south on the bus towards Sorrento, our base for the next 3 nights. On the way we checked out the famous mountaintop Benedictine Monastry at Cassino. From there to the Commonwealth War Memorial Cemetery nearby & now we continue south to Pompeii. This is probably the place that I've most looked forward on out Tour. Will keep you posted.
