On Wednesday we went for a big walk up through the Bastille area, then down on the other side of the River Seine & onto Ile de St Louis (where we had a legendary Berthillion Ice Cream each) & Ile de Cite ( the home of Notre Dame) before continuing a walk round more of the wonderful area that surrounds our Marais district. Yesterday we checked out an awesome fresh food markets up near the Bastille. They had all the fresh produce you could ask for BUT we were headed for the Silmo Optical Fair so didn't buy anything. Silmo was amazing, spread over a huge display area. Was lots of fun especially for Charlie to check out what's new & 'in' for the coming year & beyond. Some was too smick for we country bumpkins but there were a great many displays & styles that were very impressive. Then back to town for oysters & white wine by the river. Today has been a quieter one, had a great sleep in, think this Paris lifestyle agreeing with us both. Lots of walking today but fun checking out the back streets & trying out some of the local beers. Tonight had a lovely dinner at home, a mix of Jewish & traditional Lebanese combined. Off to the Races tomorrow at Longchamps to check out some of the local thoroughbred talent!

Robyn Grant Hi guys...I am sooo impressed with Charlie climbing the tower!! All worth it no doubt! Need to smile a little more in the photos though Charlie! Isn't Paris beautiful? You have me yearning to go back! thanks!!! xxxxx
Louise Hope the races went well. Our horse had his fisrt win at Grafton in the holidays. We went so we were able to enjoy a complimentary drink in their 'private room'! He then had his second win first week back. Mum, dad, my Aunty from Brissie and one of my sisters were his support crew...so once again enjoyed a beverage there. :-)
