Today, early start as we have to leave the camp site as soon as the gates open. We bolt through the national park to Dune 45, to climb 125m to reach the summit before the sun rises. Today we leave Swakopmund for Sesriem on the edge of the Namib Naukluft National Park. On the way, we pass through Namibia's smallest registered town: Solitaire. It's tiny, and famous for Moose McGregor's apple pies. They're good, and the best for miles around. Probably only because it's a long way to Mr Kilping.
